The Cybersecurity Track is a new hands-on track at SomNOG9, designed for network engineers, systems administrators, and IT professionals taking their first serious step into security operations. Topics include security operations fundamentals, common attack techniques, threat detection, incident response, cryptography basics, server hardening, and open-source security tools. A working understanding of networking and Linux is required. No prior cybersecurity experience needed, this track starts from the ground up. Free to attend - application required. 40 places available.
