This training is built on the Internet Society (ISOC)'s Online Trust and Safety (OTS) toolkit and is delivered as part of SomNOG9's Tutorials Day.

As more of our work and personal lives move online, recognizing scams, protecting accounts and devices, spotting misinformation, and browsing securely have become essential skills. This session walks participants through nine practical areas of online trust and safety, combining short presentations with real-world examples and interactive discussion.

Each participant works through a Personal Protection Plan Worksheet throughout the training, filling it in step by step as each topic is covered. By the end of the session, every participant leaves with a complete, personalized online safety action plan reflecting their own accounts, habits, and commitments.
