This introductory session is part of the SomNOG Capacity Building Series 2026, designed to equip participants with foundational skills in Linux, one of the most widely used operating systems in modern IT infrastructure.

The session will introduce participants to the basics of Linux, including its purpose, structure, and practical usage through the command line. By the end of the session, participants will gain hands-on exposure to essential commands used for file management, navigation, and basic system interaction, providing a solid starting point for further learning in systems administration, networking, and DevOps.
