About This Event

AFRINIC, the Regional Internet Registry for Africa, runs an annual Call for Local Hosts, partnering with organizations across Africa to deliver in-person technical training and certification events. Over the past 20 years, more than 40 organizations across the continent have partnered with AFRINIC through this program to build technical skills and advance Internet infrastructure development.

In 2026, Dalkom Somalia, a Somalia-based Telecom Provider, is hosting AFRINIC's IPv6 Training and Certification Event in Somalia. bringing this continental program to Somali soil for the first time. SomNOG is proud to partner with Dalkom on this milestone event, as part of our shared commitment to building Somalia's technical capacity, advancing Internet infrastructure, and ensuring that Somali engineers are equipped to operate, deploy, and lead the next generation of Internet technologies.

Participants who complete the training and pass the certification exam will receive an official AFRINIC IPv6 certification. Exam vouchers are included at no cost to selected participants.

Certification

Participants who complete the training and pass the exam will receive an official AFRINIC IPv6 Certification, a globally recognized credential for Internet infrastructure professionals. Exam vouchers are provided as part of the event at no cost to participants.

 

Who Should Attend

This event is designed for network engineers, systems administrators, and technical professionals with a working knowledge of networking and IPv4. Participants must be able to commit to all four full days and sit the certification exam.
