The Somali Network Operators’ Group (SomNOG) organizes capacity building workshops on networking and Internet technology throughout the year. The technical capacity development workshops and tutorials take place during the first 4 days of SomNOG week.
 

 

 


The purpose of the workshops and tutorials is to develop the skills of the ICT professionals and university graduates interested in taking their technical competencies to the next level through hands-on training sessions. The bottom-line is to contribute to employability of the local university graduates and improve the service delivery of the service providers and operators. Following a 60:40 practice to concepts ratio, both the workshops and the tutorials impart relevant skills that address the market demands and skill gaps that currently exist.

Network Infrastructure Workshop Description

The Network Infrastructure workshop is a hands-on training that will run for three days. The participants learn how to plan, design, and implement medium to large-scale IP infrastructure networks.
 
Who should attend?

Technical staff who are now operating small, medium, or large scale multi-connectivity provider organizations, network engineers, network instructors, fresh graduate engineers, etc.

Prerequisites
  • Experience in TCP/IP networks
  • Participants should bring their own Laptops in the workshop.
