SomaliREN, in collaboration with Zone 3 members, is excited to offer its Network Operations and SomaliREN Services Mastery Workshop in Hargeysa! Hosted by University of Hargeisa , this valuable two-day training will take place from January 22-23, 2025. It is specifically designed for university ICT Directors, Network Administrators, and System Engineers.

Enhance Your Expertise:

This workshop offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience and master essential skills in two key areas:

  • Network Operations Mastery: Deepen your understanding of networking fundamentals, including switching, routing, security, wireless technologies, IPv6, and BGP. Through interactive labs and hands-on exercises, you'll gain practical experience in troubleshooting and network design, empowering you to build and manage robust campus networks.
  • SomaliREN Services Proficiency: Become proficient in utilizing SomaliREN's suite of services, including Identity Federation (SIF), eduroam, Filesender, and the Somali Research and Education Repository (SORER). The program also covers event management systems, video conferencing tools, and eduVPN, providing you with the knowledge to leverage these resources for enhanced collaboration and operational efficiency within your university.

Hands-on Learning:

The training combines theoretical instruction with practical application, utilizing both virtual and physical equipment. Engage in real-world scenarios through interactive labs, demonstrations, and collaborative projezcts.
